Dead Ops Arcade is the top-down, twin-stick shooter that hides inside the main Zombies games rather than standing beside them as a story. First tucked into Black Ops (2010) as an unlockable behind the main-menu terminal, it drops the first-person survival loop for an overhead arena crawl: run a maze of rooms, clear waves, grab power-ups, and chase a high score against escalating swarms.
It has returned across several titles, each a numbered evolution — Black Ops III’s Dead Ops Arcade II, Black Ops 4’s Rise of the Mamaback, the Cold War release, and Dead Ops Arcade 4 in Black Ops 7. Recurring fixtures include the Cosmic Silverback rampage, room-clearing power-ups and hidden warps. It stays a self-contained arcade mode: no crews, no Element 115 canon, just endless-wave survival in a different shape.
