Infinite Warfare Zombies is Infinity Ward’s comedic, retro-styled continuity, framed around Willard Wyler — a malevolent 1980s film director, voiced by Paul Reubens, who traps four young actors inside the worlds of his movies. Each map is a themed set the crew must survive and beat to escape, leaning into pastiche, neon and a laugh-track tone far removed from Treyarch’s horror.

Wyler’s films

The five maps move through distinct genres: Zombies in Spaceland, an ’80s theme park; Rave in the Redwoods, a slasher summer camp; Shaolin Shuffle, a kung-fu New York; Attack of the Radioactive Thing, a B-movie beach town; and The Beast from Beyond, a sci-fi military base that closes the arc. David Hasselhoff and Kevin Smith appear as themselves, and the Fate and Fortune card system is unique to this mode.
